About
CranioSacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy was pioneered and developed by an osteopathic physician by the name of John E. Upledger. It is a light touch modality that physiologically manipulates and affects the craniosacral system by releasing restrictions in order to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. With only about 5 grams of pressure the fight-or-flight response of the Sympathetic Nervous System is brought down, while the rest and relaxation response of the Parasympathetic Nervous System is enhanced. This, then, boosts the immune system and gives the body space to heal itself.
